Equipped with Dolby Pro Logic circuitry and six-channel discrete audio inputs, model SC-AK57 is poised to serve as the audio source for a multi-channel analog or, with an external decoder, Dolby Digital home theater system. Supplementing the main speakers are a center channel speaker and two surround speakers. The built-in amplifiers send 95W to each of the front channels, 70W to the center, and 35W x 24 to the surrounds, for a total of 330W. Movie soundtracks encoded in Dolby Pro Logic or Dolby Digital will come to life in all their surround sound glory.The SC-AK57 also features multi-channel DSP effects, useful when viewing non-surround encoded source material. Settings include Virtual Rear Surround, Multi-Rear Surround and Center Focus.
